About Us
Championing Biodiversity via Conservation & Education
Association for Biodiversity Conservation & Research (ABC) is a charitable organization dedicated to protecting wildlife, conserving ecosystems, and raising awareness through education and community engagement. Since 2017, we’ve been working to preserve India’s rich biodiversity, promote sustainable living, and empower communities to reconnect with nature for a healthier planet.
Recycling
Recycling cuts waste, saves resources, and protects our planet. At ABC, we champion responsible recycling to reduce pollution, conserve materials, and build a circular economy for a greener future.
Eco System
Organic practices boost health by avoiding chemicals and working with nature. At ABC, we support organic farming and lifestyles that safeguard biodiversity, nourish soil, and provide safer food for people and the planet.
Organic
Ecosystems are interconnected webs of life. At ABC, we protect these natural systems to preserve balance, biodiversity, and a healthy planet for future generations.
Biology
Biology explores life—from microbes to ecosystems. At ABC, we apply this knowledge to understand nature, protect wildlife, and foster sustainable human-nature harmony.
Our Goals
At ABC, our goals are rooted in protecting biodiversity, restoring ecosystems, and empowering communities
To Protect and restore nature and keep up the natural resources and wildlife.
To reverse the ongoing trend of biodiversity decline in India.
To strengthen existing dedication to nature through a network with grassroots capacity building.
To create constructive and nature friendly thought process by Connecting people with Biodiversity.
To narrow the nature-human gap and build lifelong commitment to caring for wildlife.
To strengthen organizational capacity to increase ABC’s impact.
To raise a collective voice for Biodiversity conservation by public awareness.
Our Work
ABC bridges conservation, education, and community development. We protect wildlife, restore habitats, raise awareness, and promote sustainability—all to create a healthier planet
Ecology &
Environment
ABC looks upon one ecosystem as a planet in itself. Humans as well as every other organism are dependent on their environment.
Aquatic Biodiversity Conservation
Aquatic biodiversity includes a variety of life form and ecosystems in the freshwater, brackish water and marine environment. Human societies have since long been depending on the aquatic biodiversity for food, medicine and other uses including commercial and industrial nature.
Terrestrial Biodiversity Conservation
Terrestrial biodiversity is the variety of life forms on the land surface of the Earth and High biodiversity is often used as an indicator of ecosystem health and has direct links to human health.
Wildlife and Species Conservation
Wildlife is one of the most ignored and most vulnerable among all living resources in the world. Everyday 12 species are getting extinct worldwide and we are being left with increasingly fewer wild lives for the future generation to witness!
Health, Awareness and Education for community
Creating awareness and educating the society about the hereditary genetic diseases is a vital step leading to healthy and pain-free human environment. Majority of the population remains ignorant about even the prevailing health issues in and around them.
Agro-Biodiversity Conservation & Socio-cultural Focus
Agricultural biodiversity includes all components of biological diversity of relevance to food and agriculture and all components of biological diversity that constitute the agricultural ecosystems, technically the agro-ecosystems
Community Engagement & Natural Resource Management
Sustainable and adaptive livelihood is an approach and effort to go beyond conventional practices. A number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are addressed through this inclusive and integrated approach of livelihood augmentation
Pollution & Environmental Sanitation
Global environmental problems are of great concern not only because of nature’s intrinsic value or because of ethical concerns for future generations but they can harm human health and well-being, impose disruptive costs on national economies, as well.
Our Goals
Our Goals for 2030
We’re racing to hit these targets to help the world reverse climate change and biodiversity loss. Together, we find the paths to make change possible.
1M+30M
1M+30M
Conserve 1 million kilometers of rivers—enough to stretch 25 times around the globe—plus 30 million hectares of lakes and wetlands.
100M
Help 100 million people at severe risk of climate-related emergencies by safeguarding habitats that protect communities.
3B
3B
Avoid or sequester 3 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually—the same as taking 650 million cars off the road every year.
45M
Support the leadership of 45 million people from Indigenous and local communities in stewarding their environment and securing rights.
650M
650M
Conserve 650 million hectares—a land area twice the size of India—of biodiverse habitats such as forests, grasslands and desert.
4B
Conserve 4 billion hectares of marine habitat—more than 10% of the world’s oceans—through protected areas, sustainable fishing and more.
